Hello! My name is Kenneth Morgan Locke and, as of February 14th, 2022, I am the Interim/Transitional pastor for our wonderful congregation.
Unlike an installed (permanent) pastor, my call is not to long-term ministry. I only expect to be here 12-18 months. During that time, I will do all the things installed pastors do: preach, teach, marry, bury, serve home communion, moderate session meetings and hang-out with my congregation. But I will also facilitate our self-review to help ensure that our next ‘called and installed’ pastor has all the right tools to help guide us where we believe God wants us to go. This interim period is a normal part of every healthy church’s development and, when done well, can be a tremendous blessing.
I have lived a wandering life. I was born in Hong Kong and spent my childhood in both Hong Kong and Texas. I went to High School and College in Arkadelphia, AR. Over the years I have been a short-order-cook, factory worker, freight-agent and Army officer. I hold degrees from Ouachita Baptist University (BA), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MA) and Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv). Before specializing in interim ministry, I served churches in Hebron, IN and Nashville, TN as their installed pastor. FPC Fond du Lac is my 7th interim ministry congregation.
I am married to the ever-wonderful Elizabeth, the world’s best packer and mover. She is with our basset, William, at our home in Indianapolis, IN.
