Message: “In our Right Mind”
Theme: We work to learn the practices of removing from our mind our fixation on the things that are corrupted and broken and instead learn how to dwell with our minds in the Spirit.
Purpose: We will examine how our spiritual practices are aimed to develop a mind that dwells in the Spirit.
Scripture: Romans 8:1-8 There is no condemnation, the mind that is set on the law of God is free from the law of the flesh.
Questions:
From where does condemnation come? What does it mean for us to set our minds on the things of the Spirit rather than to set our minds on the things of the flesh? What does Paul mean by “law” when he is writing of Jesus’ grace? Is it different from rules and obligations? What is the practical way in which we carry out this message of setting our minds on the things of the Spirit?
