The church is resilient. The pandemic has stretched our endurance and our imaginations. We have adapted with great strength and love. We need to let the Spirit lead us in careful discernment of how we care for one another. Until the following recommendations from the Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services and the Wisconsin Council of Churches are met in Fond du Lac County, we wait and hope.

The team is working on our phased plan and as milestones are met, we will communicate that plan.
If you have any questions for us, please submit them using this link (Click HERE)

We will be praying, singing and worshiping together at church again. The church will persevere. God will not abandon us. Wherever we are, God is with us. Nothing on earth can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Thanks be to God!

I have been attending Saturday evening services for several months and they space the congregation by every other for by 6 feet. They probably reach close to 75 percent of capacity. I have been to one Sunday service with the same results. They have 2 other Sunday services of which I know nothing about.
I’d bet we could space 75 to 80 people in our sanctuary easily. Many times we don’t have that many people at the 8 am service.
People do gather to talk before and after the service, but it is at their own risk. I generally sneak out, but mainly because I don’t know anyone.
Bill,
Thank you for sending us your question. We are chairs of the Transition Team which is helping to guide Session in making decisions about how to manage the pandemic. Our plans are based on what we know currently. We are committed to following the guidelines from the WI Department of Health and the Wisconsin Council of Churches for determining when it is safe to return to in-person worship. We’ve seen churches that have held in-person gatherings only to be forced to cancel their gatherings because of spread of infection. We do not want to risk lives by returning too soon. Based on statistics for Fond du Lac County, we hope to have some in-person gatherings as early as July. We are working hard to make plans for that to happen, and doing our best to figure out what God is calling us to do to be healthy together.
Thank you again for your question. We pray for your patience and understanding as we go through this difficult time.

Thank you for your dedication and work on this project to reopen our worship together. God Bless you all.
