For a few years, some dedicated members of our congregation have spent an evening at the Fond du Lac warming shelter and provided a
meal for those staying overnight. This year, they house and feed approximately 30 people per night.
On Saturday, February 20, First Presbyterian Church will be helping to serve dinner at the Salvation Army Warming Shelter. Because of COVID-19 protocol, we are requesting only two or three people to help.
If you are not serving the meal, here are a few other ways to assist:
· provide food for the evening – a casserole or dessert
· fresh fruit is always welcome
· a cash donation
A sign-up sheet is available here. If you are volunteering to help serve please plan to arrive at 6pm with dinner ready to serve at 6:30pm.
If you are providing food, it should be brought to the Warming Shelter parking lot (237 N. Macy St.) at 6:00pm, on February 20. Steve Ziegler (920.904.0488) will be available to take your food and take it inside the building. You will not have to leave your vehicle.
Thank you for your help!
